About Holts Gems

We are one of the longest established jewellers in Hatton Garden (since 1948) with a long tradition for craftsmanship and bespoke jewellery. Highly regarded and award winning for our passion for beautiful gemstones and fine jewellery you could help lead our friendly team of Jewellery Designers and Gemmologists.

In recent years we have moved to an office showroom, to focus on high end bespoke engagement rings and jewellery. Since then, we have seen a huge growth in the business through a clicks and mortar model, and to build on this we are about to launch a new e-commerce website.

It is an exciting time to join the team and a great opportunity to have an impact on our growing company.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll use your expertise and passion for the company to build and manage the team and a pipeline of new enquiries for bespoke jewellery.

  • You’ll be organised and exceptional at time management.

  • You'll help build brand presence by using your sales experience, common-sense and interest in the industry to convert leads into customers to help us further boost our growth.

  • You’ll manage the end to end sales process to generate interest and close sales, monitoring production deadlines, quality control and customer expectations.

  • You’ll work with marketing to support sales and have experience using a CRM to manage the pipeline. You’ll provide regular reporting on the performance of sales.

  • The successful candidate will report to Managing Director, based from our Hatton Garden office. The position is full time with some flexibility to replace a day in the week for a Saturday (preferable).

The type of person we would love to meet:

Passionate about making a difference and consequently making our customers happy.

Extensive experience in jewellery sales, ideally with a focus within the diamond and gemstone field.

Confident communicator and a strong collaborator working closely with sales and marketing to cultivate a thriving team.

What we are looking for 

You will be able to work full or part-time (including some Saturdays). You will have jewellery, diamond and gemstone sales experience and dealing with clients. It would be particularly advantageous if you have bespoke design experience or interest in developing your design skills. Having passion and interest in gemstones and making customers happy is essential! 

What we would love you to be able to do 

Have exceptional ability to communicate with clients both on the phone, in person and in writing. 

Help us deal with suppliers and select gemstones and diamonds suitable for client appointments. 

Have great eye for detail to have oversight of jewellery commissions and the making process to ensure quality control whilst at all time keeping to deadlines. 

Being a team player and supporting the everyday running of the business including marketing and communicating with our clients.
